The walls at T.Y. Fine Furniture welcome abstract paintings of local artist

When guests stop in to our Clintonville showroom, they will not only be greeted by heirloom-quality furniture constructed of wood from naturally fallen Ohio trees as well as organic mattresses and bedding, they can peruse the abstract oil paintings of Columbus artist JT Thompson.

This exhibition marks the third time we have shared JT’s art with our audience, a true testament to how much we love his work. The abstract nature of his paintings are a fantastic match to our unique furniture creations, which are both difficult for others to replicate.

“When I first saw JT’s art back in 2004, I was immediately drawn to its abstract, creative presentation. It’s obvious he is a deep thinker who perceives the world in an interesting way and I applaud that,” says Tarik Yousef, owner and namesake of T.Y. Fine Furniture.

As much as we like JT’s art at T.Y. Fine Furniture, it’s obvious we aren’t the only ones. JT has been the recipient of three Resource Grants from the Greater Columbus Arts Council, with the most recent awarded him in May 2018.

Not only do the paintings inject another layer of interest to our showroom, the artwork is also available for sale. For further information, guests may surf to JT’s

web site. Of course, we hope that after you buy a piece of JT’s work, you’ll still have a few shekels left over to add an heirloom piece of furniture to your space to complement your new artwork!
